Walking to Work

If you live in such a place, where it may turn out to be possible; then why not bike or walk to work?  This alone can help you to burn fat, and get you more active; while at the same time saving money.

In addition, you will be doing the already polluted atmosphere a big favor, by using less of fuel to drive around. So do your bit towards the Global warming issue, and decide to dump the car and walk instead. Of course this may not be practical to everyone, but if your job is within walking or biking distance, why not do it?

Shun the Elevator

Take the stairs instead of the elevator, as this can serve as the best and practical help in overcoming a sedentary lifestyle. It won't burn a lot of calories, but it will burn a few, and every little bit will help you to lose weight and stay fit. What’s more, it will keep your legs, thighs and butts toned, and keep your heart healthy too.


Parking at a Distance

Park a little farther  away whenever you go somewhere. This ensures that you are getting at least a little bit of exercise. If you go to the grocery store, park at the movie store and make yourself walk there and back. If your picking up a child from school, walk there instead and walk them home.

Joining your Kids for Play


Play outside with your kids. This one you should be doing anyway regardless of exercise. But that is a benefit, who's going to have the most energy out of anyone? Who's going to make you run to catch that football? Your kid! Children as we know are incredibly energetic, so get out there with them!

Just make sure to mow your own lawn, rake your own leaves, and pull your own weeds, and you'll shed any weight in no time.
